Australian communications and media authorities have asked Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block access to more illegal offshore gambling websites, including Crown Forky and Play AUD.

These services were found to be in violation of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 following an ACMA investigation. Last month, ACMA asked ISPs to block five services: Reef Reel, Royal Reel, Ricky Casino, Slot Gallery and Slotterstick.

Since ACMA made its first blocking request, 823 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked. More than 210 illegal services have also been withdrawn from the Australian market since the ACMA began implementing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017.

Australians who use illegal gambling services are not protected by Australian law. This means that our laws cannot help in the event of problems, such as a service provider withholding a win.
