The 19th DB Insurance Promi Open, the first competition of the 2024 season of the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour, will be held for four days from the 11th at the old course (par 71) of the Rabibel Country Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do (total prize money of 7 billion won).

Kim Chan-woo, who is trying to win two KPGA tours, reduced his strokes by three on the second day to tie for the lead (10 under overall).

In an interview after the second round match, Kim Chan-woo said, "I personally played with satisfaction for two days," adding, "I played with more attention to the green strategy because the pin position was more difficult than yesterday because it was on the green side."

Kim Chan-woo, who performed well in the second half of the year after winning the Bizplay Electronic Newspaper Open last year, said, "The accuracy of tee shots has improved since the second half of last season. As tee shots became accurate, the flow of second shots and putts naturally improved, and I was able to win the championship. I continued to do that after winning the championship. I tried to maintain that feeling and got good results."

On his strategy for this weekend's race, Kim said, "Things often didn't go well if I was too greedy to compete for the lead until the third round. Rather than being greedy, I will work on it step by step."
