Tottenham celebrates the 1st anniversary of Son Heung-min's

100th goal “It shows class and quality.”

Tottenham of the English Premier League (EPL) again praised Son Heung-min to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his 100th goal.

On the 9th (Korean time), Tottenham posted a video of Son Heung-min's 100th EPL goal against Brighton a year ago through the club's official social media (SNS) and commented, "Class and quality are visible."

Son Heung-min, who joined Tottenham in 2015, scored the first goal in a home game against Brighton on April 9 last year, kicking the ball strongly with his right foot from outside the penalty area in the 10th minute of the first half when the score was 0-0.

With this, Son Heung-min scored his 100th goal in his 260th game. Son Heung-min became the 34th player in EPL history and the first Asian player to reach 100 goals.

Since then, Son Heung-min has continued to play and score goals, setting new records. Son Heung-min played in Tottenham's 400th game in the game against West Ham on the 3rd.

Tottenham, which was founded in 1882 and has a 142-year history, has had only 13 players who have played in more than 400 games. If limited to non-European players, Son Heung-min is the first.

In addition, Son Heung-min scored the 160th goal of Tottenham's career and ranked 5th in the club's career with the most goals by scoring the comeback winning goal in the game against Luton Town on the 31st of last month. The club's highest scoring record is Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) with 280 goals, followed by Jimmy Greaves (266 goals), Bobby Smith (208 goals), and Martin Chivers (174 goals). Meanwhile, Son Heung-min recorded 15 goals and 9 assists this season, ranking high in both scoring and assist categories.
