New York's largest commercial casino resort, closest to Manhattan, celebrated the grand opening of the integrated casino resort this weekend, marking the completion of an important first step in bringing a luxurious experience through entertainment and gaming.

Headlines for the festival were the performances of legendary comedian and producer Jerry Seinfeld, whose signature stand-up routine was his first performance at the RW Epicenter, an intimate 2,500-seat event center. The Brooklyn native had the opportunity to greet guests and remind them of his Catskills roots, where he started his career in stand-up comedy at the legendary Kutcher's Country Club, the Catskills resort where he inspired the movie "Dirty Dancing."

The celebration, which took place over the weekend, also included a grand opening gallo attended by hundreds of VIP guests from across the region, including celebrities Phil Sims, Neil Patrick Harris and Adrian Grenier, who joined the resort's World Catskills leadership. The event included performances by champagne towers, bubble acrobats, circus-style acrobats of the sun and electric violists, overlooking the casino resort's two swimming pools and a highly restricted private game salon.

"With the completion of our worldwide gaming and entertainment complex, we are ready to deliver the ultimate luxury gaming and entertainment experience for our guests. We are eager to support our initiative to bring entertainment back to the region with our newly opened RW epicenter and restore Catskills as our primary resort destination."

Resort World Catskills' celebration will continue throughout the month on Friday, May 18, with a performance by award-winning singer and songwriter Gavin DeGraw, followed by the grand opening of Celio, an Italian influential steakhouse created by celebrity chef Scott Conant with other celebrities in the culinary industry the following day.

Resort World Catskills is a four-season integrated resort destination featuring more than 100,000 square feet of Las Vegas-style gaming, including 2,150 slot machines and more than 150 live table games. In addition to the extensive gaming area, the casino resort also includes 332 all-suite hotels, crystal life spas, two fitness centers, and a 2,500-seat RW epicenter, which includes 10 different bar and restaurant experiences, garden suites, penthouse suites, and bunk villas. The dedicated three-story VIP gaming area is designed for first-class players and has a private lounge. Valet and free self-parking are available in covered garages and outdoor lots.
