Kim Woo-jin ranked first with a total of 41 points in the first evaluation match of the 2024 national archery team held at Kim Soo-nyeong Archery Field in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do on the 29th.

Kim Woo-jin is a gold medalist in the men's team event at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Kim Je-deok (Yecheon County Office), a two-time Olympic champion, came in second with 35.5 points, and Lee Woo-seok (Kolon) came in third with 32.5 points.

In the women's national team, Lee Si-hyeon, a three-time winner of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, led the Korean women's team with a total of 33 points. Choi Mi-sun (32 points, Gwangju Bank) and Jeon Hoon-young (28 points, Incheon City Hall) ranked second and third, respectively.

The Korea Archery Association will select three male and female athletes each and give them a berth to major international competitions such as the Paris Olympics by adding up the points of the first warm-up match and the second warm-up match to be held at Jinho International Archery Field in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, from the 5th to the 11th of next month.

In the case of the men's national team, the total difference between the third-place Lee Woo-suk and the fourth-place Jeong Tae-young (22.5 points, Kolon) in the first warm-up match is 10 points, which is highly likely that the first to third-place teams will win tickets to the Paris Olympics.

However, in the women's national team, the gap between Jeon Hoon-young, ranked third, and Nam Soo-hyun (25.5 points, Suncheon City Hall), ranked fourth, is only 2.5 points, which is expected to lead to fierce competition until the second round of selection.

In the compound national team, Yang Jae-won (Sangmu) and So Chae-won (Hyundai Mobis) took the lead in men's and women's respectively.
