The men's professional basketball playoff is divided into the so-called Line 1 and Line 2. In the semifinal, teams ranking fourth and fifth and third and sixth will compete in a best-of-five series, and the winning team will meet with the first and second-place teams, respectively. The fourth and third-place teams will benefit from having the first and second round of the semifinal playoff at home.

It is difficult for both teams to easily give up their home advantage in the semifinals, as the semifinal match is a short-term match that takes place two days apart, and SK and KCC's record against the No. 1 DB is far behind with two wins, four losses and one win, five losses, respectively.
