Korean Air has dramatically topped the men's regular league, allowing it to challenge for the fourth consecutive time in its history. After joining as a substitute foreign player during the season due to Lincoln Williams' back injury this season, Murad played in 62 sets in 19 matches, recording 246 points and 54.55 percent success rate in attack.

Korean Air explained the reason for the replacement, saying, "Murad, a current foreign player, was selected as a substitute due to the injury of his predecessor Lincoln and contributed to his team's rise to the top of the regular league, but he decided to make a drastic replacement ahead of the championship game because he was judged to lack some ups and downs performance and personal skills."

Born in 1989, Maxim, a left-handed apogit spiker weighing 203cm and weighing 92kg, was a former member of the Russian national team and won the 2015 and 2017 European competitions. In addition to the Russian league, he has played in various overseas leagues such as Poland and the UAE, and is currently playing in the Qatar League, ranking first in scoring and second in serve in the league based on his outstanding attack and technique.

Maxim entered the country through Incheon International Airport on the 22nd after the last match of the Qatar League on the 20th, and once the transfer process is completed, he is expected to be able to play from the first round of the championship game.
