Who performed their best during the month of October, set up the best 11.
Huskored calculated the ratings of Premier League players during the month of October and selected 11 players with the highest average rating by position. Among them, Son Heung-min recorded an average rating of 7.68 and was placed in the center striker position in the 4-3-3 formation. Son played a total of three games in October, scoring two goals and one assist. On the 7th, he received a 6.82 rating from Huskored while silent during the eighth round of the Premier League against Luton Town in the 2023/24 season, but he has played well in two games since then, raising his average rating. First, Son Heung-min scored one goal and one assist against Fulham in the ninth round on the 24th of the last deal to lead the team to a 2-0 complete victory. On the same day, Son Heung-min received a pass from Hisharlisson in the 36th minute of the first half and scored the first goal with a right-footed shot aimed at the corner of the net from the penalty box, and played a perfect game in the 9th minute of the second half as he helped James Madison's additional goal. Later, while Tottenham was leading with the opponent's own goal in the 10th round away match at Crystal Palace, Son Heung-min lightly pushed Brennan Johnson's cutback pass in the 21st minute of the second half and scored an additional point. Tottenham then scored one goal, but did not give up a tie and took three points. Son Heung-min, who scored in both games, was well received. In particular, he was involved in both Tottenham goals with one goal and one assist against Fulham in the ninth round, and was included in the team of the week officially selected by the Premier League Secretariat. Huskored also gave Son Heung-min 8.91 points, the highest rating in the team, during the match against Fulham, and gave Son Heung-min a 7.31 rating against Palace. Son Heung-min, who made up for his disappointing performance against Luton Town with high ratings in two games, raised his average rating and succeeded in being named the team of the month. In Lee Ju's team, Son Heung-min formed the front three with Brian Mbhoemo (Brentford) and Dwight McNeil (Everton). Mbhoemo scored two goals and two assists in three games in October, especially when he defeated Premier League power Chelsea 2-0 with one goal and one assist in the 10th round on the 28th of last month. Unlike Son Heung-min and Mbhoemo, McNeil succeeded in taking a place in this week's team even though he did not have an attack point. In addition to Son Heung-min, Christian Romero and Guglielmo Vicario were also selected. Tottenham produced a total of three players in this week's team as a club that won three games in October, showing their current team performance and atmosphere. With this, Son Heung-min was named the Team of the Month by Huskored in October as well as last September. Son Heung-min, who scored six goals in four games in September, not only was selected as the Huskored September Team of the Month, but he also had his best month as he was named the Premier League September Player of the Month. As Son Heung-min performed well in September and October in succession, attention was already drawn to what he would do in November. Son Heung-min, who had a sluggish year last season, returned to the Premier League's representative striker once again, making a perfect comeback. So far, Son Heung-min has scored a total of eight goals and is tied for second in scoring in the Premier League with Mohamed Salah (Liverpool). The leading scorer is Erling Holan (Manchester City), the "monster striker" who scored 11 goals in the previous season. Unlike Holan (2 goals) and Salah (3 goals), Son Heung-min drew attention as he was competing as the top scorer without penalty kick goals. Amid Son Heung-min's performance, Tottenham went undefeated in the league (8 wins and 2 draws) after the opening and took the lead in the Premier League. It is still early in the season, but some have begun to carefully consider Tottenham's possibility of winning the Premier League. In order for Tottenham to compete for the title, Son Heung-min's steady performance is essential. Attention is focusing on whether Son Heung-min, who has continued his good performance in September and October, will be able to continue his momentum in November to lead Tottenham's rise. |
