Bae Ji-hwan also kept his team's victory with a decisive defense. In the bottom of the eighth inning when the score was 11 to 13, Bae Ji-hwan caught Tyler Stevenson's strong hit with a diving catch. Bae Ji-hwan, who stepped on the second base, threw to first base and completed a double play alone. It prevented the danger of creating a mood.

Pittsburgh won by one point in the bottom of the ninth inning, although closer Carman Mlozinski gave up one point. He has won four consecutive games recently.
