The women's national soccer team won its first warm-up match of the year.

The national team, led by coach Colin Bell (England), beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in a warm-up match in Lisbon Football City, Portugal, on the 25th (Korea time). The national team, which left for Portugal on the 19th, will prepare for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup and 2027 Women's World Cup from a long-term perspective.

Last year, the "Belho" team had major competitions, but they all failed. At the 2023 Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand held in July, it finished bottom of Group H with two draws and one loss, while the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in September ended in the quarterfinals. It also failed to advance to the final qualifying round in Asia.

The two, symbolizing the present and future of Korean women's soccer, scored goals side by side. Ji So-yeon's free kick in the 16th minute of the first half hit the post and shook the net. Then, in the 1st minute of the second half, the pair broke down the left side and finished with their right foot to score an additional goal. The national team gave a goal to Eva Bartonova in the 8th minute of the second half, but maintained concentration until the end to win the game.

It was a happy occasion with the victory. Midfielder Jang Seul-ki of Gyeongju KHNP joined the Century Club as she played her 100th A-match game on the day. She became the eighth Korean female player to join the club. She celebrated her milestone by playing full time as a central midfielder.

The national team, which finished its first game of the year refreshingly, will face home team Portugal at 3:15 a.m. on the 28th at António Coimbra da Mota in Estoril.
