Memphis, Sacramento to join in early August

A foreign coach will join the Wonju DB club.

DB released a press release on the 24th and reported the appointment of coach Bob Soton. The club plans to help coach Kim Joo-sung, who has been appointed as an official coach since this season due to the appointment of a foreign coach.

Coach Bob Soton spent 22 years as a coach and scout. He met at the Las Vegas Summer League site, went through a meeting, and signed a coaching contract.

Soton, a former big man, joined the New York Knicks in 1985 and retired in 1996 after playing in Philadelphia, Minnesota, Utah, and Washington. He also gained experience in the Italian League and CBA teams.

After retiring, he began coaching on the college stage. Since 2002, he has returned to the NBA stage and has been a coach and stout player for Chicago, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Memphis, and Sacramento. Since then, he has settled in DB through the Australian stage and the NCAA.A.

DB expects Soton to help domestic players develop their personal skills along with his role as coach Kim Joo-sung's assistant. Coach Soton will join in early August.
