Lee Kang-in free-kick → Moani Winning Goal

PSG won 2-1 at a home game against Nantes in round 15 of the 2023-2024 French League 1 at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France, at 5 a.m. on Saturday. As a result, PSG has increased its winning streak to eight since its game against Lens in October. It has maintained its league lead with 11 wins, three draws and one loss (36 points) for this season. It did not allow second-ranked AS Monaco to overtake him with 30 points.

Unlike his usual left midfielders, Lee Kang-in, a Korean striker, was deployed as a right flanker in the match against Nantes. Despite his different positions, Lee showed off his good performance. He had two shots and dribbled past the 90-minute full-time mark. His pass success rate was 80 percent. He also stabbed Keypass a whopping three times. The European soccer statistics site Fuscoord.COM gave Lee a 7.08 rating. This means that his performance was not bad. Footmob, another statistical media outlet, had a 7.7 rating.

Lee Kang-in showed light moves from the beginning. At the 16th minute of the first half, he showed off his fantastic personal skills to relieve pressure from opponents. He then passed a long pass to Kylian Mbappe in front of him. Mbappe also hit the inside of the penalty box and tried to shoot, but was blocked by the opponent's defense. At the 20th minute of the first half, Lee made a bold breakthrough to secure the opponent's foul. At the 25th minute of the first half, he fired a sharp left foot shot. However, the ball flew off the side of the net as it was not properly wound.

Lee Kang-in's performance continued in the second half. In the 8th minute of the second half, he ran toward a pass from the left side and fired a shot. However, the opponent's defense blew itself away and blocked it. It also served as a starting point for the winning goal with a free kick. He helped teammate striker Randal Kolo Muani's goal. In the 38th minute of the second half, Lee Kang-in scored an accurate delivery cross, and Marco Asensio's header shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. However, Moani, who was in front of him, calmly pushed in to score the winning goal.

PSG manager Luis Enrique pulled out a 4-3-3 formation. Lee Kang-in, Mbappe and Barca were in charge of the three-top. Vitinha, Manuel Ugarte and Carlos Soler were the ones behind him. The four-back was guarded by Luca Hernandez, Danilu Pereira, Marquinos, Archiraf Hakimi, and the goal by Arnaut Tenas. Gianluigi Donnarumma, the starting goalkeeper, was sent off the previous game and was unable to play in this match.

PSG led the mood from the beginning, with Mbappe firing a threatening shot in the first minute of the first half. Since then, it has rarely had a decisive opportunity due to the opponent's gritty defense. Rather, goalkeeper Tenas made it difficult for Nantes to shoot a mid-range shot. Amid a tense atmosphere, PSG did not miss a chance at the end of the first half. It scored the first goal. In the 41st minute of the first half, Barca destroyed Nantes' defense with explosive speed and fired a sensational shot to shake the net.

Nantes' counterattack was also formidable. Mostafa Mohammed scored the equalizer in the 10th minute of the second half. He instantly ran from a corner kick chance and cut it into a header. Goalkeeper Tenas was also helpless against the surprise header shot. PSG also attempted a decisive shot after Barcolo dribbled through again in the 13th minute of the second half, but was caught in a side net.

With PSG in crisis, Moani scored the winning goal at the end of the second half to become the main character. French striker Moani wore a PSG uniform last summer. He has scored four goals this season, including this one. Lee Kang-in also played a starting role and cheered.
