The fairway is bumpy and has a long rough

It's crumpled in the second and third stages, so it's greedy to want a long putt to go in. On top of that, the environment was so poor that the blackstone golf club was bare due to the heat in September and frequent heavy rains.

However, in order to win the championship, all these bad conditions must be overcome. Park Ji-young (27, Korea Land Trust) was the only under par to win the KB Financial Star Championship (total prize money of 1.2 billion won), a major tournament of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour that ended here on the 10th.

Park Ji-young was in third place until the third round, two strokes behind the leader Lee Ga-young, but succeeded in reversing it in the fourth round. Park Ji-young, who broke through the difficult course, shot a 1-under 71 in the fourth round and won her third win of the season with a total of 2-under 286. Park Ji-young is the only golfer who has lifted the trophy three times this season. Park Ji-young enjoyed the season's opening match Hana Financial Group's Singapore Women's Open in December and the Ever Collagen and the Queen's Crown in July. This is the first time Park Ji-young, who has been in her ninth year since her debut, has reached the top of a major tournament, so her joy doubled.

Park Ji-young said, "As the distance increased, I caught a short club, which helped me target the course and reduce the score," adding, "The desire for multiple wins was the biggest driving force to overcome the crisis." "I'm really happy that this is the first time I've won three games and won a major tournament," he said with a smile. "As much as I have a good feeling, I'll row hard when the water comes in and win one more time."

Park Ji-young secured 216 million won in prize money, ranking second in prize money ranking (923.13 million won). Park Ji-young, who maintained the top spot in average at-bats, emerged as a strong candidate in all categories of individual titles, including the prize money king, the grand prize, and the multiple-win king. Park Ji-young has never won an individual title since she received the Rookie of the Year award in 2015.

Meanwhile, Lee Ga-young (24, NH Investment & Securities), who competed with Park Ji-young for the lead, lost four strokes, including a double bogey on the fourth hole (par 4) of the final round, and Lee Ye-won (20, KB Financial Group) gave up the first place with three bogeys without a birdie on the second hole. Lee Ga-young and Lee Ye-won tied for second place with Kim Min-byul (19, Hite Jinro), who recorded a 1-over 289 strokes and scored a daily best score (5-under 67 strokes). Kim Min-byul regained the lead in the Rookie of the Year race, beating Hwang Yoo-min (20, Lotte).

Defending champion Park Min-ji (25, NH Investment & Securities) tied for 11th place (7 over par 295) while "major queen" Jeon In-ji (29, KB Financial Group), who appeared on the domestic stage for the first time in a year, tied for 54th (17 over par 305).
