"Golf emperor,"

Woods finished the second round of the PGA Tour Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club (par 71) in Palisades, California on the morning of the 17th (Korean time) and took a tee shot at the seventh hole before returning to the club house in a cart. Woods put his tee shot on the fairway at the seventh hole, but he expressed his intention to withdraw to the game commissioner.

An ambulance arrived at the clubhouse afterwards, raising concerns over Woods' health. However, the ambulance left without picking him up. "Woods gave up the competition due to cold symptoms," said Rob McNamara, Woods' friend and business partner. "Woods had a slight fever but was fine when he warmed up. However, his condition deteriorated to the point where I felt a sense of dedication as the game started."

In the first round on the previous day, Woods struggled to finish the round due to back spasms from Hole 16. Notably, at Hole 18, he pitched shank (a ball hit at the Hodel connecting the golf club face and the shaft), which is rare for professional players.

Woods underwent surgery on his ankle in April last year after withdrawing from the Masters event in a major tournament. Woods participated in two events in December last year, but this was his first regular tour event. He finished the first round with a 1-over-par 72. Woods played driver shots reaching up to 332 yards in the first round, but he showed signs of accuracy in shots and significant shaking in short games.
