Northern Cheyenne Nation signs casino management agreement with

Full House Resorts, Inc. today announced that Montana's Northern Cheyenne Nation has entered into a development and management agreement with the company subject to approval by the National Indian Gaming Commission under federal law.

The proposed site by Northern Cheyenne is already a trusty land located in a resort area in the Tung River Reservoir in southeastern Montana, about 25 miles north of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Sheridan County, with a population of nearly 30,000 and no other legal gambling, will be the main target market. The two sides will work together on the design, size, and site planning of the gaming facility on the 554-acre Tung River Tribal Site. The first phase of the project will include a 20,000 to 25,000-square-foot first-class facility, approximately 200 to 250 video game machines, live poker, restaurants, and an RV park. The design will allow for expansion of the gaming area, additional food and beverage stores, and hotels in future phases. The facility is expected to open for 12 to 18 months from now until all regulatory approvals are received, with the first phase costing $10 million to $15 million. The tribe currently has Class III Gaming Compact with Montana and will be in talks with the state about a new casino.
