FC Seoul officially announced Lingard's recruitment on the morning of the 8th. Lingard held a press conference about his joining in the interview room of the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 2pm on this day.

Detailed terms, such as the length of his contract, are not known, but British media such as 'Sky Sports' previously announced that Lingard was transferring to FC Seoul with a two-year contract with an option for a one-year extension.

He recorded 29 goals and 14 assists in 182 games in the English Premier League alone, playing for Manchester United, West Ham United, and Nottingham Forest. Lingard became invincible after leaving Nottingham Forest during last summer's transfer window. It was reported that he was training at Inter Miami in August of last year, and later there were rumors of a transfer to West Ham, but no contract was concluded.

Afterwards, in September of last year, it seemed like a transfer would take place with the announcement that he would be training at Al-Etifah in the Saudi Arabian Pro League, but even this did not materialize.
