Real Madrid is also the club that has won the most trophies in the UEFA Champions League. Real has won 14 UEFA Champions League titles. Real also holds the record of winning the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with five titles each.
Paris Saint-Germain PSG, France, where Lee Kang-in plays, was ranked fifth 654 million euros in the last survey, but this time it took a big leap to third 801.8 million euros. Real Madrid's recent beating of all EPL teams that have grown their market size based on broadcasting rights income was affected by a significant increase in spectators and marketing revenues.
Overall, spectator income has increased as we emerged from the aftermath of the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19. Real Madrid also made 122 million euros about 177.2 billion won in spectator income, up 40% from the previous season 88 million euros, and its marketing was also successful, exceeding 400 million euros for the first time in five years. PSG, which earned about 150 million euros more in one year, made record-breaking achievements, especially in the broadcasting rights sector. Revenue from broadcasting rights jumped more than 100 million euros 145.3 billion won in a year.
Liverpool had the worst income among the 20 teams. Liverpool ranked fourth 71.7 million euros in the previous season and was seventh 682.9 million euros in the survey. Liverpool earned extra income from broadcasting thanks to its performance in the 2021-2022 season, including the UEFA Champions League final, the FA Cup, and the League Cup. However, its income seems to have declined in the 2022-2023 season as it failed to advance to the round of 32 teams at the FA Cup and the UCL and League Cup in the round of 16.
Meanwhile, Deloitte also released a survey on the profits of women's soccer teams that are growing in popularity this season following last season. However, other clubs outside major European leagues such as Australia, Japan and the U.S. did not include them in the list, saying that data was not available.
FC Barcelona, which finished second in the 2021-2022 season in the UEFA Women's Champions League and won the 2022-2023 season, topped the list of women's clubs with 13.4 million euros.
