Kim Mi-chi, Upamecano, and Reimer start at the same time → The '

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is in a dilemma. With Kim Min-jae missing, injuries continued in the defense and midfield.

Tuchel said at a pre-match press conference against Augsburg at the Bayern Munich campus in Germany on the 26th (Korea time).

Munich will face Augsburg in the 19th round of the 2023-2024 Bundesliga at 11:30 p.m. on the 27th at the WWK Arena in Augsburg.

In second place (14 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses, 44 points) Munich will win the 10th place (5 wins, 6 draws, 7 losses, 21 points) away from Augsburg to chase the lead (15 wins, 3 draws, 48 points) Bayer Leverkusen.

In the 13th round match against Union Berlin at Allianz Arena on the 25th, Munich won 1-0 with Rafael Guerreiro's winning goal to earn three points.

However, in the 18th round of the league against Werder Bremen at home on the 21st, they lost 0-1 to Mitchell Weiser. Munich, which lost to Bremen for the first time in 16 years, began to widen its gap with Leverkusen, which continued its unbeaten run by more than one game.

With the pursuit to continue, Munich faced another bad news. It was because the main defenders Dayot Upamecano and Jojoa Kimmich were injured.

In particular, Kim Mi-chi grabbed his shoulder and left the stadium after the match against Union Berlin, causing anxiety and eventually injuring his shoulder.

"Upamecano and Konrad Reimer will be out this week," Tuchel said at a press conference. "Rimer is overloaded because he has played in every game so far. We have to compensate for that. We have to plan well. We did a good job and prepared. Of course we had a lot of injuries in the last game," he explained.

He added, "Kimmich can't play tomorrow. I need to fix my shoulder and I will be monitoring every week. It's a situation where we can't predict how long it will take." The outlet further reported, "Rimer has been confirmed with a calf strain and Upamecano has been confirmed with a hamstring strain."

German media Bild added: 'Kimmich will have her shoulder checked again within this week and will decide how to proceed with the treatment depending on the situation. It is not clear how long Kimmich will be absent as things stand.'

If all three players are missing at the same time, Munich's defense is in a state of emergency. Currently, the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup and the African Football Federation Cote d'Ivoire Nations Cup are missing key defenders Kim Min-jae and Nusair Mazraoui, respectively.

On top of that, the main center back Upamecano, midfielder No. 6 Kimipi, and right fullback Reimer all leave at the same time. From Tuchel's point of view, it has reached the point of contemplating how to organize the players.

Matthijs De Licht and Eric Dier are in charge of center backs, and the right fullback is completely destroyed, so we don't know who to use it. Send private email
