Technical support issues
Now I have to prove why I am holding the baton. This is coach Jurgen Klinsmann's mission ahead of the final match of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup against Malaysia.
The Korean national soccer team, led by coach Klinsmann, will play the third match of Group E against Malaysia, coach Kim Pang-gon, at Al Janoub Stadium in Doha, Qatar, at 8:30 pm (Korean time) on the 25th.
Korea, ranked 23rd in the FIFA rankings, previously achieved 1 win and 1 draw against Bahrain (86th) and Jordan (87th). Regardless of the results of both games, there was a lot of criticism that they were dependent on specific players and their performance was poor. Since Coach Klinsmann had been shouting 'win the Asian Cup' right after taking charge of the team in March of last year, there were appalling reactions from all over.
Naturally, suspicion was focused on Coach Klinsmann's leadership rather than on the players who are active on the world stage. The fact that they were not able to achieve a refreshing victory against teams that were objectively inferior in terms of power, and the fact that they were inadequate in terms of management, such as injuries to the players and cards, are also pointed out. The assessment of 'tactically unsatisfactory', which has lasted for about 10 months, has still not been reversed.
