People who play high-paying poker games are heading to ACR Poker as their New Year's resolutions. The world-popular poker site will resume its $5 million GTD Venom PKO tour from Thursday, Jan. 18.

"Our Venom PKO is best known for being the biggest progressive knockout tournament in online poker," ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker said. "It topped the $5 million guarantee in all seven previous editions, and we expect it to happen again."

In the Venom PKO, players compete in the biggest hands of their lives with tens of thousands of dollars in prize money. It only continued a few months ago in October, and the winner pocketed $371,000 and a whopping $312,000 in prize money.

The $5 million Venom PKO costs $2,650 to enter, but players can earn much less through Venom Fever. These satellites guarantee 650 seats, and direct purchases start at $33, and megasatellites start at $0 along the daily route. There are other ways to qualify, too, such as a step tournament that starts at 11 cents.

Moneymaker added that the popular Venom Holdham tour, which typically comes with a $10 million guarantee, will return in the coming months.
