Real Madrid is burning its will to reinforce left-back.

Real Madrid is considered a strong candidate for La Liga title this season as well. With 20 matches played in the league, the team is in fierce competition with Girona as it gained 51 points with 16 wins, three draws and one loss.

In the European competition, Real showed off its prowess as a traditional powerhouse. Real Madrid has overwhelmingly won six matches in Group C of the UEFA Champions League this season, and is considered a favorite to win the title.

It is not that there was nothing to be desired. Left fullback resources such as Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia were not satisfied with their performances this season.

Alfonso has emerged as a likely candidate for recruitment. Real has decided to recruit Alfonso in the transfer market this summer, which is about to expire its contract with Munich in 2025.

This is not a stage where we can guarantee recruitment. Munich continues to try to renew its contract with Alfonso. If an agreement is reached in terms of annual salary, there is a good chance that the contract will be renewed.

Real Madrid has also begun to prepare for any contingency. According to the latest report, if it fails to recruit Alfonso, Real Madrid will recruit Grimaldo to reinforce its left-back position.

Grimaldo is fully qualified to play for Real Madrid. He was a former Barcelona youth team member who was on the rise at Benfica and was in full swing at Leverkusen.

This is evidenced by his stellar performances this season. Grimaldo has had nine goals and 10 assists in 26 games across all competitions. It is no exaggeration to say that Grimaldo is as strong as a striker.

"Grimaldo is an attractive option for Real, which has a strong will to reinforce left-back," Pichahes said. "Grimaldo is from Barcelona's youth team and has no problem adjusting to the Spanish stage."
