MGM Resort International, a global leader in live entertainment and sports, is beginning its return to the world's entertainment capital of Las Vegas, bringing back industry giants like Cirque du Soleil, Bruno Mars, Dave Chappelle, Conor McGregor, and more this month.
Last night, Cirque du Soleil's "O," which was enjoyed by more than 17 million people around the world, celebrated its first performance in Bellagio in 16 months in front of a sold-out crowd. Before taking the stage, the cast and crew of the iconic water show were returned by Bellagio staff and marched through the resort to the delight of thousands of fans. The iconic production of Cirque du Soleil features amazing acrobats and synchronized swimmers diving 60 feet in a 1.5 million-gallon pool.

"Over the past 16 months, we have waited patiently to reactivate Las Vegas' heartbeats with massive shows, sporting events, and nightlife, and this weekend marks a milestone for our city's full recovery," said Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts International. "With millions of people traveling from all over the world to experience the unique entertainment that only Las Vegas has to offer, and names like Bruno, Chappelle, and Cirque are returning, we're letting them know that it's time to come back."
Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group President and CEO Daniel Lamarre said, "O has been a fan favorite and pride of Cirque du Soleil since it first opened in Bellagio in 1998. As we continue to look forward to it with new hope, the grand re-release of one of the programs that made Cirque du Soleil the global leader of live entertainment that it is today is a milestone we want to celebrate. Intermission is over! Let's get the show started."
