Kylian Mbappe's future is still in limbo. Real Madri, who drew attention, still hasn't given up on Mbappe, and Liverpool, which was recently seeking to recruit Mbappe, has pulled out.

France's RMC Sports said on the 3rd (Korea time), "Liverpool has no intention of recruiting Mbappe in 2024. At this stage, I am not interested at all," adding, "It has been mentioned as a team that is interested in Mbappe recently, but Liverpool has no intention of recruiting Mbappe."

Florian Flettenberg, a reporter from Sky Sports Germany and familiar with European soccer news, also said, "Liverpool is not interested in Mbappe. At the moment, next summer's transfer is not an issue," adding, "Real Madrid will still be a realistic future destination, whether next year or the year after."

Mbappe has been feverish in the soccer community since last year due to rumors of a transfer to the club. Real Madrid, which is also a dream club, actively tried to recruit Mbappe, and Mbappe flew to Madrid for a vacation during the season to negotiate. As it was known that the club had even reached a verbal agreement, it seemed highly likely that Mbappe would wear the Real uniform, but he will stay as PSG renewed its contract for 2+1 years.

Mbappe, who seemed to leave the future to PSG, once again emerged as a hot potato in the transfer market last summer. Mbappe, who has one year left on his contract with PSG after the 2022/23 season, has indicated that he will not invoke a clause that can be extended for another year. At the end of the 2023/24 season, he ended his contract with PSG and declared that he would leave as a free agent.

PSG, who dreamed of the future with Mbappe, was furious. PSG Chairman Nasser Al-Kelaifi demanded that Mbappe leave immediately if he did not renew his contract, and Mbappe made a flurry of bombshell statements that he would not be able to receive Ballon Road at PSG, deepening the conflict. To make matters worse, there were even reports that six players, including new players at PSG, were uncomfortable with Mbappe.

If Mbappe does not renew his contract, PSG, which was the last time the summer transfer market could sell for a fee, had no choice but to feel anxious, and he ordered the team to be demoted to pressure Mbappe. However, when Mbappe did not budge, PSG removed Mbappe from the preseason Asian tour list and actually sent him to the stands in the opening match against Lorient, strongly appealing that he would spend the rest of the season in the second division.

However, things changed when PSG ended up losing against Lorient after a rough-and-ready draw. PSG, which had already sent Neymar to Al-Hilal, Saudi Arabia, left Mbappe back in the first team. Since then, Mbappe has scored 17 goals in 17 matches in all competitions, with 14 goals in 12 league matches and 3 goals in 5 Champions League matches.

However, as he has not yet renewed his contract with PSG, he will be eligible to freely negotiate with other clubs when the winter transfer market begins immediately. Against this backdrop, it was reported that Arsenal and Liverpool in the Premier League recently expressed interest in recruiting Mbappe.

Football London reported that Arsenal and Liverpool are considering the possibility of transferring to Mbappe. Arsenal are in competition with Liverpool and are considering the financial possibility of signing Mbappe.

British team talk said, "Libipul wants to bring Mbappe to Anfield. It is also noteworthy that Mbappe's mother supports Liverpool and that Mbappe is a fan of manager Jurgen Klopp."

However, he added that the possibility of Liverpool transfer is practically low, saying, "In order for Liverpool to meet Mbappe's huge wage demands, it must sell star player Mohamed Salah." According to RMC Sports and Pletenberg, Liverpool has withdrawn from the Mbappe recruitment race.

On the other hand, Real, who reportedly gave up Mbappe, was found to be still aiming for Mbappe.

Earlier, Real refuted allegations that it had completed pre-negotiations with Mbappe by issuing an official statement, saying, "It is not true," but Spain's Lelevo said, "Unlike recent statements, Real did not give up the idea of signing with Mbappe. Real's statement was a strategic move to avoid allegations of violating FIFA regulations," adding, "The plan is to make an offer to Mbappe in the first half of next year and join the club as soon as the contract with PSG is terminated."

Mbappe's contract with PSG will end next summer, so negotiations and pre-contracts with other clubs can be made six months before the expiration under the "Bosman Rule."

A lot of attention has already been drawn to whether Mbappe will renew his contract with PSG like last year, take a new challenge in the Premier League, or head to Real, which was the most likely candidate.
