Lim Seong-jae , the leading star of Korean men's golf, led the PGA Tour FedEx Cup in the first tournament of the 2024 regular season for two consecutive days.

Seongjae Lim caught 8 birdies and made 1 bogey in the second round of the second day of the opening match, The Sentry (total prize money: $20 million), which continued on the 6th (Korean time) at the Plantation Course (par 73, 7,596 yards) in Kapalua, Hawaii, USA. He hit 7 under par 66.

Lim Seong-jae, who was on par in the second half, rebounded with a 1.6m birdie at the 15th hole (par 5). He successfully made a birdie from a distance of about 6m in the 16th hole (par 4), and easily made two-on in the last hole (par 5) and finished with a birdie.

Seongjae Lim holed out as a joint leader in the clubhouse on this day, but Scotty Scheffler (USA), ranked first in the world, recorded a birdie on the 18th hole and took the sole lead. He is one stroke behind Scheffler, who is at 16 under par and 130 strokes.

The PGA Tour has returned to a year-round schedule for the first time since 2012, and competition is fierce as every player starts with zero FedEx Cup points.

Moreover, The Sentry is the first of eight signature (special) competitions designated by the PGA Tour this year, and the winner's FedEx Cup points have also increased from 550 points in 2023 to 700 points in 2024.
