Psychological Warfare Is The Best In The World

Jose Mourinho played a psychological game in a rival game.

British newspaper Daily Mail reported on Monday that Jose Mourinho taught Napoli star Hvicha Kvaratshelia a lesson. He proved himself to be a master of psychological warfare.

AS Roma, led by Mourinho, met Napoli in the 17th round of Italy's Serie A in the 2023/24 season at Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy, on the 24th to win 2-0.

Rome and Naples are old rivals. The match between the two teams is called "Derby del Sole." This match was also fierce. At the 21st minute of the second half, Napoli's Matteo Politano received a red card, and Victor Osimhen was sent off for accumulating warnings in the final minutes of the second half.

There was a fierce trend from the beginning of the game, but there was no goal until the middle of the second half. It was up to Rome to score the first goal. Stefan El Sharawi's shot in the 31st minute of the second half was not hit properly, but rather it was connected to Lorenzo Pellegrini. Pellegrini's turning shot shook Napoli's net as it was.

Just before the end of the game, Rome ended the game. Rome counterattacked in the 6 minutes of extra time in the second half. Romelo Lukaku calmly beat the opponent's defender in the penalty box and scored the net with a clean shot.

After the game, Mourinho's actions drew attention. In the 34th minute of the first half, Hvicha was knocked over by a Roman defender foul. Three minutes later, Hvicha was similarly fouled. In the process, Rasmus Christensen was warned.

Mourinho raised his hands and covered his face, protesting against the referee that the warning was excessive. The referee ran and gave Mourinho a yellow card.

Later, Mourinho was caught shouting on the broadcast. According to the "Daily Mail," Mourinho said to Hvicha, "Stop it!" In the end, the two met.

Mourinho held Hvicha's face with both hands in an exasperated state, and Hvicha talked after putting his hand on Mourinho's shoulder.

The media explained, "Mourinho seemed to want to teach respect to the player. He continued to use abusive language until he caught Hvicha in the face to continue the discussion."

He added, "Even before the match, Mourinho stood on the pitch and watched Napoli warm up intently, trying to scare them. His actions ultimately had the desired effect as Rome scored the victory."
