Technical support issues
Bill suffered an ankle injury in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season home game against the New York Knicks at Phoenix Footprint Center in Arizona, the U.S. on Wednesday (Korea time). Bill started the game, but finished the game after scoring only six points in 4:32 of the game. Phoenix also lost 122-139, losing for two consecutive games.
Phoenix made a big deal in the offseason. It acquired Bill by handing over Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and the second round pick to the Washington Wizards. It was determined that it would challenge the presidential election by establishing a new BIG3 with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Bill has been a proven scorer for seven consecutive seasons, scoring 20 or more points, but he has been suffering from frequent injuries since joining Phoenix. He joined the team belatedly due to back injury, and even injured his ankle after returning.
While Phoenix played 25 games, Bill only scored 14.7 points on average in six games. It is the worst performance since the 2012-2013 season (13.9 points) when Phoenix debuted in the NBA. Phoenix also ranks 10th in the Western Conference.
Local media, including ESPN, reported that Bill is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, although it is not a major injury such as ligament damage. We cannot predict when he will return yet.
