3rd in the country with 42 points Gavin scored 58 points, the most ever

In the professional volleyball men's division, Korean Air's Lim Dong-hyuk (24) scored 42 points in one game, ranking third among domestic players.

Lim Dong-hyuk scored 42 points, the most in a single game, in the KB Insurance match (1-3 loss) in the men's 'Dodram 2023-2024 V-League' held at Gyeyang Gymnasium in Incheon, his home court, on the 10th.

Lim Dong-hyuk, who started as an aposite spiker (right attacker) instead of foreign player Lincoln Williams, the main attacker, was responsible for 48.76%, nearly half of the team's attack.

He performed well with 13 back attacks, 2 serve aces, and 1 block, with an attack success rate of 66.10%. Both his scoring and offensive share were his best since his professional debut.

The 42 points are the 3rd highest score in a single game by a Korean player in the V-League.

The top scorer was Park Cheol-woo, who plays for Korea Electric Power Corporation, scoring 50 points in the LIG Insurance match on January 30, 2010 when he was with Hyundai Capital. Park Cheol-woo is the only player to score 50 points in one V-League game. Second place was retired Kim Yo-han, a member of LIG Insurance, who earned 43 points at the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance match on February 2, 2012.

Lim Dong-hyuk recorded his name in V-League history by beating seniors such as Na Kyung-bok (41 points), Seo Jae-deok (41 points), and Kim Hak-min (40 points).

However, if you include foreign players, Lim Dong-hyuk is not even in the top 100.

The first place, including foreign players, was Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's Gavin, who scored 58 points in the LIG Insurance match on February 2, 2012. 58 points is the most scored in a V-League game. KB Insurance's Keita scored 57 points in the Korean Air match on April 9, 2022 and tied for second place.

Leo, currently playing for OK Financial Group, scored 54 points in the LIG Insurance match on February 3, 2015, during his time at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. KEPCO TICE scored 51 points against Hyundai Capital on October 21, 2016 when it was affiliated with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance.

Woori Card Matei scored 49 points in the KB Non-life Insurance match on the 16th of last month, and KB Non-life Insurance Viyena scored 49 points in the Korea Electric Power Corporation match on February 9th.
