‘Aiming for 5 consecutive wins in UFC and entering the rankings!’

‘Iron Turtle’ Park Jun-yong (32, Korean Top Team) aims to become the first Korean fighter to win five consecutive UFC games. If he wins one more time, he can look forward to entering the official UFC middleweight rankings. 

Park Jun-yong will participate in UFC Fight Night 233, which will be held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on December 10th (Korean time). He will clash with Brazil's Andre Muniz (33). Munis is a strong fighter who was ranked 14th in the official middleweight rankings as of October. He is also a jiu-jitsu black belt holder.

Park Jun-yong, who is on the rise, looks to victory. He recently won four straight UFC fights. 'Stun Gun' Kim Dong-hyun tied the Korean fighter's record for the longest win streak in the UFC. On May 21 last year, he won a decision over America's Eric Anders at Fight Night 206, and on October 29 of the same year, he defeated Joseph Holmes with a rear naked choke technique at UFC Fight Night 213. This year, he again achieved rear naked choke victories in the UFC Fight Night 218 Dest Tulin match on February 4th and the UFC on ESPN 49 match against Albert Durayev on July 15th. 


To date, his UFC record stands at 7 wins and 2 losses. If we win this match, we can write a new history in Korean mixed martial arts. Beyond Kim Dong-hyun, he becomes the first Korean fighter to record 5 consecutive wins in the UFC. In addition, he recorded his 8th win in the UFC, putting him on par with ‘Mr. Perfect’ Kang Kyung-ho. Dong-Hyun Kim can continue his challenge to set the record for the most Korean UFC wins (13). He also defeated Munis, who was included in the official rankings, and laid the foundation for him to enter the top 15.
