Right-handed pitcher Patrick Murphy (28) is expected to enter the Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB).

Japan's Nikkan Sports announced on the 23rd that 'Nippon Ham Fighters are attempting to recruit Murphy.' Murphy will be released as a free agent after this season and is looking for a new team. Nikkan Sports introduced Murphy as a '1m96cm tall right-handed pitcher with a top speed of 159km/h.' According to FanGraphs.com, an MLB records website, Murphy's 2022 pitch distribution is two: a four-seam fastball and a curve. The average speed of a four-seam fastball is 95.7 miles (154 km/h). Although the pitch type is monotonous, he is the type that threatens the batter with force.
