Ticket sales on the first day exceeded 25,000... The last super

“There are already over 25,000 reservations!”

As soon as the ticket window for FC Seoul's last super match of the season opened at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 20, fans' interest was strong. Even though it wasn't even a day since ticket sales opened, more than 25,000 spectators had made their tickets. Based on the reservation figures alone, FC Seoul achieved a record of 400,000 spectators for the first time in K-League history since counting paid attendance in 2018.

'Grow with uS'GS Sports professional soccer team FC Seoul (hereinafter referred to as FC Seoul) will play the last super match of the season at Seoul World Cup Stadium on November 25th at 4:30 PM. As this is FC Seoul's last home game of the 2023 season and it is expected to reach a record of 400,000 spectators in a season, the attention of K-League fans has been focused. The halftime performance of Treasure, a 'YG global boy group' prepared to celebrate FC Seoul's record of 400,000 spectators, was also ready to welcome fans.

FC Seoul, which is on the verge of reaching the record of 400,000 spectators, has another record to look forward to. This is the highest average audience for a professional sports season in Korea. FC Seoul has currently attracted a crowd of 394,022 in a total of 18 home games. The average attendance per game is 21,890. This is the first time the average audience has exceeded 20,000 since the paid audience count began in 2018. In addition, if more than 22,116 spectators gather for this super match, it will surpass the record of 21,901 (Lotte Giants of the KBO League in 2008), the largest average attendance in a single season for professional sports in Korea. This record was also surpassed through advance sales alone.

Of course, FC Seoul recorded the highest average attendance of 28,758 in a Korean professional sports season in 2010, but the K-League has only announced paid attendance figures since 2018, and the previous record has been reset. FC Seoul is once again setting a record of exceeding 400,000 spectators in the K-League in one season and the highest average attendance in one season for professional sports in Korea.
