The Korea Professional Football Association

The Korea Professional Football Association (KFA) will invite Yoo Yeon-soo, a former Jeju United goalkeeper, to the "2023 2nd All-Star Game" held at the end of the year.

The Players Association, which is preparing for the charity All-Star Game, decided to invite Jeju goalkeeper Yoo Yeon-soo, whose dream of becoming a player was blown away by a drunk driving vehicle, to the event. The Korea Athletes' Association announced on the 16th that it will work together to help Yoo rehabilitate.

Yoo Yeon-soo was hit by a drunk driving vehicle last year and suffered a major injury that paralyzed his lower body. Yoo focused on rehabilitation for nearly a year, but eventually retired at the age of 25.

Kim Hoon-ki, secretary-general of the Korean Professional Football Association, explained, "We will work hard in many ways for Yoo Yeon-soo, who has lost his dream of becoming a soccer player even though he is a victim of drunk driving."

In addition, Shin Young-rok, who collapsed unconscious on the ground in 2011, will participate following last year and greet fans.

"This charity match is a meaningful venue for Shin Young-rok and Yoo Yeon-soo's sponsorship events as well as retirement ceremonies for Lee Keun-ho, Yeom Ki-hoon, Park Joo-ho, Yang Dong-hyun, Kim Chang-soo, and Yoon Young-gle," said Lee Chung-yong, vice chairman of the Korean Professional Baseball Organization. I ask for a lot of attention from fans," he said.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Athletes' Association All-Star Game will be held at Ajou University Gymnasium in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on December 16. The association will confirm and announce the list of participants later.
