Julius Randle and RJ Barrett (Canada) returned.

The New York Knicks defeated the LA Clippers 111-97 in the NBA 2023-24 season regular league home game held at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, USA on the 7th (Korean time).

For New York, which won, Randle had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists, including 3 3-pointers, Barrett had 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Robinson had 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 steals. For the losing Clippers, Harden had 17 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists, Westbrook had 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, George had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, and Leonard had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Home team New York sent in Jaylen Brunson, Quentin Grimes, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson first. The away team started with Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac for the Clippers, and

both teams scored poorly in the first quarter. In particular, while Harden and Zubac did not work well together in the two-man game, the New York players' outside shots missed the goal. Randle seemed to have taken the lead when he scored a free throw, but the Clippers, thanks to Westbrook's fast-paced basketball, ended the first quarter with a 21-19 lead thanks to Bonds Hyland's stepback 3-pointer.

Entering the second quarter, Harden, who was frustrated, launched his own attack and quickly scored 7 points in a row. New York also achieved a comeback by using Randle's 3-point shot and causing an opponent's mistake. However, Norman Powell converted Leonard's consecutive passes into a 3-pointer to give the team the lead again. With Harden and Powell scoring again, the Clippers ended the first half with a 4-point lead, 46-42.

In the third quarter, there was a hot scoring contest between both teams. The Clippers' one-two punch of Leonard and George, while New York's forward line of Barrett, Randle, and Robinson scored. In particular, Randle completely changed as he hit several 3-point shots that he had not made before, and Robinson also gained an advantage against the Clippers' big men. The two teams continued their firefight and entered the fourth quarter with a score of 76-76, with Harden and Quiakley scoring alternately.

However, in the fourth quarter, New York's outside guns exploded and the Clippers' defense collapsed. New York continued its transition attack by inducing the opponent's mistakes, and with the outside guns including DiVincenzo, Barrett, and Randle coming out one after another, they quickly raced to a 21-9 score run. Accordingly, when coach Tyronn Lu raised the white flag by withdrawing all of the starting players early on, coach Tom DeBodeau leisurely increased the score gap by retaining the starting players.

Afterwards, New York easily defeated the Clippers, 111-97, by 14 points.
