The new director, Dang Seong-jeung, began his career as a professional player by joining the LG Cheetahs in 1990, and began his career as a coach at Hyundai Girls' Middle School in 1995. Cheonan, in its first year of entry into the K-League, must have 4 age-level clubs (U10, U12, U15, U18) by 2024 according to K-League club regulations, and will establish 3 new age-level clubs excluding U18, which has already been established. Should be. Director Seong-jeung Dang plans to establish a consistent and correct philosophy and direction from professional to youth level together with technical director Do-young Lee prior to establishing the youth system. The ultimate goal is to foster and discover long-term competitive players in Cheonan, using the experience of discovering outstanding players such as Kim Seung-gyu, Lim Chang-woo, and Nam Tae-hee during his time as coach of Hyundai Middle School.
Director Dang Seong-jeung has a special connection with Cheonan. From 2014 to 2019, I had good memories of serving as the head coach of Cheonan City FC, the predecessor of Cheonan City FC, and advancing to the PO for three consecutive years and achieving second place in the regular league for the first time since its founding. Director Dang Seong-jeung said, “I am happy to have a good relationship with Cheonan and to be able to help the club and local soccer development. “I will use my coaching experience, discovery, and training know-how to increase competitiveness and strive to establish the right direction for the youth team,” he said, revealing his future vision and plans.
