Coach Kim Min-jae
SSG Landers third base and bench coach Kim Min-jae (50) will don a Lotte Giants uniform for the 2024 season, assisting manager Kim Tae-hyung (56).
Kim signed a three-year contract with the Lotte baseball team and was inaugurated as manager on April 24.
After receiving the managerial offer from Lotte, Kim actively sought to recruit coaches.
He made an offer to coach Kim Min-jae, who accepted after much deliberation.
As SSG was preparing for the Semi-Playoffs (Semi-PO), Coach Kim carefully conveyed his intentions to the SSG organization.
SSG lost 6-7 in the third game of the semi-playoffs against the NC Dinos at Changwon NC Park on the 25th to exit the fall stage.
Coach Kim Min-jae will join the Lotte squad after he clears his name.

Kim was born in Busan, a city with ties to Lotte, and started his professional career there.
Kim joined Lotte in 1991 and played for the organization for 11 years, until the 2011 season. After playing for the SK Wyverns (now SSG) and Hanwha Eagles, Kim started his coaching career with Hanwha in 2010 and served as a defensive coach for Lotte in 2017 and 2018.
After stints in the Doosan Bears and SSG dugouts, Kim continued his coaching career with his hometown team Lotte.
After working with Kim Tae-hyung as an offensive coach at Doosan in 2019 and 2020, Kim reunites with Kim for the first time in nearly three years.
At Lotte, Kim will likely take on a senior role.
Kim Joo-chan, Go Young-min and Yoo Jae-shin, who played for Doosan this season, are also expected to sign coaching contracts with Lotte soon.
