Arizona enters WS for the first time in 22 Years

Kim Byung-hyun is trying to win for the second time since 2001
From wild card to WS... "Upset" is a success
Carroll hits 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs
WS Game 1 will be held on the 28th

Arizona is on the World Series stage for the first time in 22 years.

Arizona defeated Philadelphia 4-2 in the final seventh game of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 25th (Korea Standard Time). Arizona, which was on the brink of a cliff with two wins and three losses, grabbed Game 6 and 7 one after another and created a dramatic reversal series.

As a result, Arizona, founded in 1998, took the WS stage for the second time since 2001, when Kim Byung-hyun won the championship as a finishing pitcher.

Arizona, which advanced to the postseason as the sixth seed this season, succeeded in an "upset" that beat Milwaukee, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia one after another. Arizona will hold a World Series of four wins out of seven against Texas, which aims to win its first championship.

Philadelphia, on the other hand, lost to Houston in the World Series last season and missed the chance to shake off its regret.

Arizona scored one point on Christian Walker's infield grounder in the top of the first inning with one out and runners on first and third bases made by consecutive hits by Corbin Carroll and Gabriel Moreno. Philadelphia responded with a solo shot by leadoff hitter Alec Bohm in the bottom of the second inning. In the fourth inning, Bryson Stott hit a timely double to turn the game around 2-1.

Arizona tied the game in the top of the fifth inning with a heavy hit by Emmanuel Rivera and a two-out second base hit by Herraldo Perdomo. Philadelphia immediately replaced starting Ranger Suarez and put up reliever Jeff Hoffman. However, Carroll succeeded in stealing second base, and Gabriel Moreno hit a timely hit to the right to turn the game around.

Arizona scored an additional run in the top of the seventh inning to solidify its victory. Carroll's sacrifice fly made it 4-2 with one out and runners on second and third bases. Philadelphia eventually fell to its knees after missing a chance at first and second bases with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Carroll, who entered the big league for the first time last year, made a brilliant contribution to Arizona's advance to the World Series by scoring three hits, two RBIs and two runs from four times at bat.
