Netflix is preparing for a live sports event, The Netflix Cup.

According to ESPN and other foreign media on the 19th, Netflix will hold the Netflix Cup at Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas on the 15th of next month. The contest will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Netflix invited four top players and four F1 drivers on the PGA Tour to the event, which will be held as an event.

Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Colin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas USA will participate as PGA players, and among the F1 drivers, Ilex Albon Williams, Pierre Gasly Alpine, Lando Norris McLaren, and Carlos Sainz Ferrari will participate.

Netflix previously showed a lot of interest in sports by introducing the racing show Formula 1: Drive to Survive and the golf series Full Swing.

Among them, it is expected to attract a lot of attention from the golf industry as it will bring in famous players to plan and broadcast golf events.

"We want to see how sports series has increased the number of fandom in sports leagues and tournaments around the world," said Gabe Spitzer, vice president of nonfiction sports at Netflix.
