The archery team competes in the quarterfinals of the women's team event at the Archery Compound at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2022.
The Korean archery team has reached the quarterfinals of the women's compound team event at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, where they will look to win a second gold medal in the sport. The team of So Chae-won (26), Cho Soo-ah (22-over Hyundai Mobis) and Oh Yoo-hyun (34-former North Jeolla Province) defeated Vietnam 236-211 in the quarterfinals of the compound women's team archery event at the Fuyang Throat Sports Center Archery Range in Hangzhou, China, on Friday. South Korea will face Chinese Taipei, who beat Thailand by one point to advance to the final four. The quarterfinalists got off to a fast start with an easy win in the first match of the Compound Women's Team event. South Korea shot back-to-back 59s in ends one and two to post 118 points. Vietnam, on the other hand, could only muster 101 points and the match was over early. Compound, which uses a mechanical bow with a pulley, has been an official event since the 2014 Incheon Games. 'Archery's strongest team' also dominated the compound women's event, winning back-to-back titles in Incheon and the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. A gold medal in Hangzhou would make it three in a row. |
