Landing International Development was in talks with South Korea to acquire Alpensia Casino & Resort located in the remote area of Pyeongchang-gun, Daegwallyeong-myeon, but on  Landing announced that negotiations had ended and no deal had been made. The terms of the sale and purchase agreement were not satisfactory, the company said. Alpensia is a foreigner-only casino with 15 game tables and 50 slot machines, with two hotels, including intercontinental Pyeongchang Resort Alpensia, and a year-round resort, ski resort and casino, and is also the venue for the opening and closing of the Winter Olympics.

Landing International was hoping to close the deal for Wealth Seed Group, which owns Alpensia Casino, but now Landing will focus only on other Korean regions.
