Located at the XL Center, a multi-purpose stadium and convention center in downtown Hartford, Connecticut, the XL Center Sports Book and Sports Bar opened smoothly on September 9 and grand opening on September 18, 2023. The 5,000-square-foot, 300-capacity sports betting lounge is accessible directly through a dedicated entrance on the corner of Church St. and Yueulo Street. Visitors can find 86 TV screens and a 100-foot-long video wall that can track spread, prop bets, and play. It offers a complete food and beverage service, including 40 beers on the tab. Bet on one of the 12 self-service kiosks. It's open seven days a week. You must be at least 21 years old to gamble and/or drink. I need to get ready to show my ID.

There are no accommodations on site, but the Capitol Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection, and the 96-room boutique hotel on the 9th floor are about 10 minutes walk to the XL Center and about a minute drive away. Goodwin is within 0.1 miles of the XL Center per 328 feet and has a fitness center, a business center and a bar. The Residence Inn in Downtown Marriott Hartford is also only 0.1 mile from the XL Center.

There are popular restaurants around, including Podaddy Pub, Max Downtown, Trumbull Kitchen, The Tavern Downtown, and Black Eyes Sally, and it's a 2-6 minute walk from the XL Center.

Originally known as the Hartford Civic Center, the XL Center is owned by the city of Hartford and leased to the city, managed by the completion water area development office and operated by spectra.
