Even in the battle between Danbi Kim, Jihyun Park, and Seunghee

Even in the battle between Danbi Kim, Jihyun Park, and Seunghee Yoo, Woori Bank did not have its first win… Toyota takes top spot in Park Shin-ja Cup following Triple Jam

The battle between Kim Dan-bi, Park Ji-hyun and Yoo Seung-hee, but Asan Woori Bank could not be the queen of summer.

Woori Bank lost 65-72 in the 2023 Woori Bank Park Shin-ja Cup final against Toyota Antelope at Cheongju Gymnasium on the 3rd and finished the tournament as runner-up.

Woori Bank expected to win the Park Shin-ja Cup for the first time, but was blocked by Toyota's wall. Kim Dan-bi (22 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals), Park Ji-hyun (15 points, 8 rebounds), and Yoo Seung-hee (11 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists) fought hard, but Toyota was strong with Shiori Yasuma (20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists).

Toyota won the 3x3 triple jam and the Park Shin-ja Cup, coloring the summer of WKBL with its own color. The MVP of the tournament was field commander Shiori Yasuma, who took 11 out of 15 votes.

Woori Bank gave up the lead early in the game, struggling with the height of the field and Toyota Umeza. Yasuma's breakthrough led to a three-point run, which led to a 3-13. After the operation time, Park Ji-hyun and Kim Dan-bi chased each other. Yoo Seung-hee's three-point shot was successful, chasing 10-18. However, Yasuma and Yamamoto's three-point shots fired up and gave up the first quarter 17-25, eight points behind.

Woori Bank's counterattack began with the start of the second quarter. Starting with Choi Yi-sam's three-point shot, Park Ji-hyun and Kim Dan-bi's fieldwork exploded. Yoo Seung-hee also used a miss match to successfully break through, raising the mood. Woori Bank chased 32-34 by two points.

The problem was the height of Umezawa. Toyota actively used Umezawa to put pressure on Woori Bank's under-the-goal defense. Woori Bank was also struggling with Yasuma and Kawai's internal and external attacks. Hirashita hit a three-point shot just before the end of the second quarter and finished the first half 36-49.

The third quarter between Woori Bank and Toyota led to a low-scoring game. Woori Bank did not score easily until the middle of the third quarter. Yoo Seung-hee broke the silence, but Kim Dan-bi's assist pass made six points and three-point shots were hampered. On the other hand, Umezawa and Hirashita lost points in a row and fell to 42-60. Woori Bank, which narrowed the gap with a last-minute chase, finished the third quarter 47-60.

In the fourth quarter, Woori Bank's bad pitching also hampered it. In the middle, there was no score until Kim Dan-bi's three-point shot split the rim. Toyota aimed at Woori Bank's rim with Umezawa at the forefront. The gap has not narrowed, and the weight of the game has also tilted toward Toyota.

Woori Bank's chase centered on Kim Dan-bi failed to continue. He was blocked by Toyota's solid defense and could not easily narrow the gap.

The tide turned at the end of the fourth quarter. Woori Bank reduced the score gap little by little with free throws. Na Yoon-jung's three-point shot cut through the rim and chased 59-68, even a single-digit gap. The problem was Umezawa. Woori Bank had a lot of accumulated fouls and struggled with Umezawa's defense. It continued to Yasuma's jumper and was dragged back to 59-72. Woori Bank did not lose its will until the end with Choi Yi-sam and Kim Dan-bi's three-point shot. Unfortunately, there was not enough time left, and Toyota eventually gave up the top of the Park Shin-ja Cup.
