Empire Resorts Inc. will immediately open its first lawn after New York State decided to roll the dice on a $1.2 billion resort World Catskills (formerly known as Montrig Casino Resort) construction project in the Catskills area. The recently renamed gambling complex will open. Currently, the project is going on as scheduled, and the casino machine is expected to be installed sometime in November this year.

World Catskills, a resort under construction, is the last northern casino to open in New York City. The project features 130 table games, 2,150 slot machines, a golf course, an 18-story hotel with 27,000 square feet of conference and entertainment space, and a 100,000 square foot casino floor. The indoor water park Lodge is one of the best attractions the resort offers. Resort World Catskills is preparing for its opening , and has been approved by Downs State.

Montraig Casino Resort was approved by the gaming facility location board after the National Game Facility Location Board recommended the construction of the gaming facility. Casino operators had difficulty developing strategies for the success of the upcoming casino project and for the well-being of the region, and following the news, locals expressed great hope that gambling houses would revive the local economy and lower unemployment.

State officials introduced a package of regulations to regulate table game operations at four state casinos, but casino operators had to wait until the new rules were announced to the New York State Register, the casino operator decided to rename the gambling property Resort World Cat Skills, Empire Resort explained.

As mentioned above, Empire signed a license agreement with RW Services Pte Ltd., a subsidiary of Genting Group, in April this year. Under this agreement, Empire has the right to use certain genting and resort world trademarks. This agreement is valid until 2027, and will be renewed annually for 39 years if both parties agree to renew it. Apart from the cross-trade partnership, customers of Resorts WorldCats can participate in the Genting Affiliation Program.
