The Japanese professional baseball dome stadium game was canceled due to the typhoon.

The Softbank Hawks of the Japanese professional baseball league canceled their scheduled match against Rakuten at the Paypay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, on the 9th. As Typhoon No. 6 Kanun moved north, the Softbank club announced, "We will stop the game in consideration of the impact on transportation institutions and the safety of the audience."

There is no problem with playing the game because it is a dome stadium, but it was canceled so that spectators would not experience dangerous situations due to typhoons when going back and forth from the baseball stadium.

Typhoon Kanun is heading north toward the Korean Peninsula through Okinawa, southern Japan. Strong winds of more than 40 meters per second blew in Kyushu, Japan, on the 9th, and 53 millimeters of heavy rain poured for an hour. It is observed that there is a possibility of record heavy rain in Japan until the 11th.

Japanese media reported that the cancellation of the game was the first in 16 years since the game against Orix on August 2, 2007 (then called Yahoo Dome) due to a typhoon at Paypay Dome, Softbank's home stadium.

Meanwhile, Softbank conducted team training at Paypay Dome on the same day. Fujimoto mentioned the promotion of Despaigne, a foreign hitter who is in control in the second division, to the first division. Despaigne hit home runs in two consecutive games against the Orix in the Western League on the 8th and 9th.

Fujimoto said, "If Kondo, who is playing as a designated hitter due to a minor injury in his right knee, returns to defense, he will be able to promote Despaigne. He said, "Kondo is currently playing as a designated hitter, so even if he uploads, he is only a pinch hitter."
