The Korea Professional Football Federation announced that it has extended its partnership contract with Electronic Arts Inc. by four years.

The professional federation and EA announced the extension of the contract through a team K-League fan signing event held at Megabox in Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 26th and unveiled EA Sports' global FC FUTURES program to be created with the K-League.

Cho Yeon-sang, president of the federation, and Yoo Hwi-dong, CEO of EA Korea, attended the event, and more than 150 K-League fans, including Baek Seung-ho, Seol Young-woo, Lee Seung-woo, Na Sang-ho, and Bae Joon-ho, signed a partnership between the two companies.

The federation, along with EA, has launched the eK League since 2020, providing new attractions for soccer and gamer fans. Furthermore, it announced that it will launch the FC FUTURES program with EA Korea from this year. FC FUTURES is a project carried out by EA to expand soccer and gamer fans worldwide. Accordingly, the federation plans to develop soccer training programs and operate soccer classes for elementary school students, and will also promote cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

Yoo Hwi-dong, CEO of EA Korea, said, "I am very happy to continue the partnership with the K League, which has been working together for a long time. Through this renewal, we will share the important journey of EA's new brand FC with the K League, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, he said. "We will continue to do our best to do meaningful activities with the K League."

"The K League is an important Asian soccer partner that will deliver the value of EA Sports FC's global soccer game, and it is meaningful in that it can share FC24's vision of expanding future soccer experience," said Ryu Sun-young, head of EA Asia Football Partnerships.

"EA Korea is the oldest partner in the K-League and I am happy to continue," said Cho Yeon-sang, secretary-general of the federation. EA Korea and the K League will create an eK league from 2020 to reach game fans, while the two companies will work together to develop grassroots soccer with the FC FUTURES program in the future. In addition, we will carry out various marketing activities, and we are looking forward to the future of Korean soccer that EA Korea and the K League will create together," he said.
