The Indiana Gaming Commission released its long-awaited iGaming study, in conjunction with Spectrum Gaming Group. “Market and Policy Analysis: Prospective Internet Casino Gaming in Indiana” examines legalized iGaming’s potential revenue impact on Indiana and on land-based gaming. It also looks at other states that have legalized iGaming, with a focus on New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Key findings include: Sports betting and iGaming create synergies that increase overall revenues for each vertical. iGaming would not negatively impact Indiana casino revenues. Live dealer games would create new jobs without threatening existing casino dealer jobs. Operator revenue could reach more than $830 million by year three. The study also looked at three potential tax rates (20%, 30% and 45%) with annual state tax revenues ranging from more than $160 million to more than $370 million, depending on the tax structure, by year three. |
