Choi Ji-man of the Pittsburgh Pirates crossed the fence in a minor league rehabilitation game.
Choi Ji-man, who is playing a rehabilitation game for the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians, started three away games against the Louisville Bats (Cincinnati Reds Triple-A) at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Tennessee on the 29th (Korea Standard Time), scored one hit in three at-bats (one home run), three RBIs, and one strikeout. In the third inning, he hit a home run over the center fence against opposing starter Brett Kennedy with two outs and a runner on first base. The 109.8-mile fastball flew 442 feet. In the fifth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly to the center field with one out and third base to bring home Chris Owings, who was at third base.
