BASEBALL SOFTBALL

BASEBALL SOFTBALL
Baseball and softball are two related ball games played between two teams in a diamond-shaped stadium.

What is the difference between baseball and softball?
There are world championships in both events, but at the Olympic level, baseball was a sport only for men and softball was a sport only for women. Between the two events, there are differences in the number of players in each team, the size of the stadium, and some rules.

Softball pitchers also have to throw underhand, and most pitchers use a windmill pitching style that rotates in a large circle and then throws the ball. The best female pitchers in softball can reach speeds of more than 100 kilometers per hour. The speed fits the characteristics of the fast game. Since the base is not far away, the pitching distance is shortened. The game is also shorter than baseball, with only seven games compared to the ninth.

History

The first known softball game was held on Thanksgiving Day in 1887 in Chicago, Illinois. It was held at the Paragut Boat Club at a meeting to hear the results of soccer matches between Yale University and Harvard University. When the score was announced and the bet was settled, a Yale alumnus threw a boxing glove at a Harvard supporter. The Harvard fan grabbed the stick and swung the rolled-up glove. George Hancock, a reporter there, shouted, "Hit the ball!" and the game began with a boxing glove tightened into a ball shape and a broom handle acting as a bat. The first competition ended with a score of 41-40. The ball was soft and went into the field with bare hands.

Equipment.
Equipment required for softball includes balls, bats (composites, metal or wood), gloves, uniforms, and protective equipment. For example, there are helmets for attacking teams, helmets for defensive catchers, shin guards, and chest guards. Softball can also be worn with cleats, sliding shorts, face masks and knee sliders

How to play
Softball matches can last 3-7 innings or 1-2 hours, depending on the league, rules, and softball type. The teams take turns batting. Officially, which team will hit first is decided by tossing coins, but the league can decide differently at its discretion. The most common rule is for the home team to hit the second batter. The second batting is also called the "last at-bat." Many softball players prefer a second at-bat because they feel they have more control in the final inning because they have the last at-bat.

In the event of a tie, except for certain tournaments and championships, usually until the end of overtime. If the home team is ahead and the road team has just finished the half of the seventh inning, the game will end because the home team does not have to be at-bat again. In all forms of softball, the defensive team is the defensive team; the offensive team tries to score by batting or batting.

Pitching
Playing often, but not always, starts with the referee saying, "Hit the ball." After the batter is ready and all fielders (except the catcher) enter the fair territory in their respective positions, the pitcher stands on the pitching board and attempts to throw the ball past the batter to the catcher behind the home plate. Throwing or pitching must be done in underhand motion.

Slow pitch
In most slow-pitch versions (including 16 inches), the pitch is lobbed so that the ball goes over the batter's head and falls into a small rectangular area of the ground behind the plate, called a " The referee makes a decision based on the position where the ball lands behind the plate. Landing on the well is a strike

Fast Peach
For fast-pitch softball, the traditional pitching style is a "windmill" movement that extends the arm over the body and releases the ball from approximately hip height at full speed. The strength acquired in the underhand windmill motion is based on the open-to-close hip motion.

hitters
The attacking team sends one "hitter" at a time to the home plate and attempts to advance the pitch into a fair area using the bat. The batting order of the players, known as the "bat order", must remain the same throughout the game. The replacement player and the replacement player must be in the same position as the replacement player. In mixed-gender competitions, male and female batters must be replaced.

Typing out
the batter is struck out three ("strike out"), caught before the batter hits the ground ("fly out"), or the batter goes to the already tagged base ("tagged" or "tagged play");

Advance around the base
If a player hits the ball and advances to the base without a defensive error or out being recorded, it is called a "base hit." The base must reach counterclockwise from the first base.

special circumstances
If there is a "wild throw" (or "over-throw") where the ball goes out of the designated play area, each runner receives two bases from the last touched base at the time of the throw. If you retreat past the base, you cannot advance to the base. If the fielder intentionally carries the ball out of play, two bases will be given from the time the ball leaves the field. If this is unintentional (field momentum), the prize is one base. In tag play, if the fielder loses control of the ball (after establishing control) and leaves the field, one base is awarded

Scoring runs
The "run" scores when the player touches the four bases in turn and proceeds counterclockwise. You don't need to touch it on the same play. During the course of play, the batter can safely remain on the base and attempt to move forward to a follow-up play

Game over
The team with the most points since seven innings wins. If the second baseman of the team is ahead, the last half of the seventh inning (bottom) or the remaining seven times will not be played.

Location
Fastball softball has nine players on the field at once and fastball softball has 10 players. Although pitchers and catchers have the most balls, each person has a specific job. There are pitchers, catchers, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, and third baseman in the infield. There are left field, center field, and right field in the outfield. In Slow Peach Softball, there is an additional outfielder in the outfield, who is designated as a romer or rover.
