This week, Everi Holdings Inc. announced that it has been selected to supply its leading anti-money laundering technology to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Now, the prominent supplier of brick-and-mortar and online casino content will make its Everi Compliance Anti-Money Laundering solution available to the Crown agency’s land-based and digital activities.
As one of the top gaming providers in the industry, the company is concentrated on player engagement and aiding its partners to operate with higher efficiency. It also creates entertainment game content and machines, gaming systems, and services for brick-and-mortar and iGaming partners. The company also delivers trusted financial technology solutions that facilitate casino floor gaming. - Selected as AML Tech Provider Currently, the provider’s Everi Compliance is implemented in over 600 gaming amenities, and it is among the most commonly used and complex Anti-Money Laundering software available in the industry. Via the agreement, the supplier will back BCLC which conducts and offers lottery, casino, bingo, and online gambling options in the Province of British Columbia for the benefit of its locals. EVP and FinTech Business Leader for Everi Darren Simmons claimed that the company is devoted to meeting customer needs as the industry always undergoes changes and creates new opportunities. He notes that the Crown corporation has prioritized high levels of compliance as part of the continued expansion of its rapidly growing operations across casinos and online platforms in the province. Lastly, Mr. Simmons added that the gaming provider’s RegTech solutions are designed and applicable to a wide range of applications and that the company is proud to have been selected as the one to support BCLC’s important Anti-Money Laundering initiative. Soon the supplier’s Everi Compliance Anti-Money Laundering will be integrated into the Crown’s land-based and digital operations. This latest agreement between Everi and the BCLC marks an extension of their already existing cooperation. Back in April 2021, the provider already agreed to deliver its digital three-reel stepper products to BCLC’s PlayNow.com online platform. The launch was facilitated by Everi Digital which is the online gaming division of the leading supplier and it made the division the largest provider of three-reel stepper content to the lottery. - Recapping 2022 Lottery Winnings At the start of this year, the BCLC issued its annual prizemoney report which confirmed that British Columbians have cashed out some pretty hefty prizes in 2022. In its press release, the Crown confirmed that local lottery players have obtained over CA$802 million in prizes. Resulting in more than 100 million winning tickets sold at provincial retailers or online on PlayNow.com. Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions generated the largest portion of the CA$802 million in winnings with CA$382.1 million in prizes among players. The two regions saw a total of 45.3 million in sold winning tickets, and 48 of them were considered major prize-winnings, worth CA$500,000 or more. |
