Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Loses Practice Match With Shinshu Brave

Ulsan Hyundai Mobis lost a practice game against Japanese B-League team Brave Warriors.

Hyundai Mobis had a practice game with Shinshu after being invited to Japan's B League pre-season event held at the Kotobuki Arena in Chikuma, Nagano, Japan on Sunday. In an open practice game broadcast in Japan, Hyundai Mobis lost to Shinshu 75–91.

Shinshu finished 23rd among the 24 teams in the B2 (minor league) league with 10-50 losses last season. The 3,000 seats at the stadium were filled with fans to cheer for Shinshu, and fans wearing yellow t-shirts cheered for the players unilaterally.

Hyundai Mobis applied its own KBL foreign rule to the effect of playing practice matches in preparation for the season without following the rules of the B League, which allows two foreign players to participate at the same time. Hyundai Mobis coach Cho Dong-hyun faced Shinshu as a starting member with Sean Long (206cm, F), Jung Jae-seok (202cm, C), Lee Woo-seok (196cm, G), Kim Kook-chan (190cm, F) ), and Han Ho-bin (180cm, G).

Hyundai Mobis took control of the initial mood. With Lee Woo-suk's 3-pointer and more, Hyundai Mobis started to take the lead by taking a 5-0 lead. However, Hyundai Mobis immediately lost the lead and finished the first quarter 18-25.

In the second quarter, Hyundai Mobis rarely penetrated Shinshu's defense. On the other hand, Shinshu conducted a final inspection of the season by testing various tactics against Hyundai Mobis. Shinshu pushed hard by trying to alley-oop under the basket when there was a gap in Hyundai Mobis' defense, and at one point the gap widened to 28-17.

In the third quarter, when the score was 39-51, Hyundai Mobis began to catch up by accumulating points one by one. When Hyundai Mobis followed with 7:02 left in the third quarter, Shinshu responded with two foreign players and even mixed-race players, refusing to allow pursuit.

The game was unilateral in the fourth quarter, when the team was beaten 56-70. Three minutes after giving up 11 points, Hyundai Mobis made it so difficult for Lee Woo-suk to score the first team score in the fourth quarter. However, Hyundai Mobis pursued Miguel Okzon (183 cm tall, G) in the Asian quarter by making consecutive 3-pointers, but failed to reverse the already tilted game....
