MBS Tower 3 Rooms Overhauled By Q2 2025

U.S. casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corporation said it will complete the revamp of Tower 3 rooms at its Singapore casino complex Marina Bay Sands (pictured) by the second quarter of next year.

This follows investor presentation data released on Wednesday at the time of the group's second-quarter earnings release.

The company previously said it would open Tower 3's refurbishment rooms to the public "by Chinese New Year 2025" at the end of January next year.

In a presentation on Wednesday, Las Vegas Sands said 544 additional newly designed rooms, including 385 new suites, "will be in service through the second quarter of 2025."

The company is investing an additional $750 million to renovate Tower 3, a hotel lobby, and a rooftop Sands Skypark in Marina Bay Sands. This is in addition to the $1 billion earmarked for renovating Tower 1 and Tower 2.

Once all renovations have been completed, three hotel towers in Marina Bay Sands will offer 1,850 refurbished rooms, of which 775 will be suites. Prior to the renovation, there were approximately 2,560 rooms and suites.

Singapore's room revamp is separate from the group's commitment to invest at least S$4.5 billion ($3.3 billion) in property expansion in Singapore authorities.

The start of construction for the expansion of the complex has been pushed back to July 2025 "with the goal of completion by July 2029.

In January this year, it was approved by the city government to develop a fourth tower with 153,100 sq m (1.65 million sq ft) of hotel space in 587 rooms.
