Lotte Tourism Development Co., a promoter of the Jeju Dream Tower Resort in Jeju Island, Korea, reported that its casino net sales in July amounted to about W22.84 billion (W16.72 million), up about 20 percent from W19.04 billion in June.
On a year-on-year basis, casino net sales rose 13.7% in July this year, according to a filing with the Korea Exchange on Thursday. Net profit from table games in July was close to 20.87 billion won, up 17.0% quarter-on-quarter and 19.2% year-on-year. Net sales of machine games totaled 1.97 billion won last month, up 64.9% from June, but down 23.7% from a year ago. The company's hotel sales rose 17.1 percent from June to 9.22 billion won in July, but fell 4.8 percent from the same month last year. According to separate data released by Lotte Tour on its official website, Jeju Dream Tower's foreigner-only casino recorded just over 34,200 visitors in July, the highest number of visitors since the opening of Jeju Dream Tower's game operation in June 2021. Casino totals for July rose 7.6 percent quarter-on-quarter but were close to W124.39 billion, down 4.5 percent from a year ago. According to July's figures, casinos at Jeju Dream Tower totaled W825.76 billion, up 26.7 percent year-on-year. |
